Memorial of Saint Bernard, Abbot and Doctor of the Church

I love because I love, I love that I may love

From a sermon of St Bernard of Clairvaux

who chooses our president?

I will prove the holiness of my great name,
profaned among the nations,
in whose midst you have profaned it.

since God is the one who ultimately chooses our president, why should i participate in the process?

My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit;
a heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not spurn.
R. I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.

who should i listen to when deciding who to vote for?

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
If today you hear his voice,
harden not your hearts.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

should i just vote for the person that many of my fellow catholics tell me to vote for?

“Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
