Saturday of the Twenty-Third Week in Ordinary Time

Judith Ann (Judy) Dennis was born on May 31, 1942 to Alexander John and Lucy Frances Jesko, in the car on the way to the hospital in Clovis, New Mexico. It took a few years to get the official birth certificate! Judy was the seventh of ten children. She passed away on September 5, 2020 in Friona, Texas at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 4 days.

we celebrate Aunt Judy’s funeral Mass today; her life defied “normal” and i find myself asking, “at this time as i’m struggling to get my life back to “normal”, isn’t that a state i’m not called to in this life, but one i hope for in the life to come?”
