am i wanting to remain spiritually aloof by praying afar for an end to the pandemic, protests, fires and other “problems” of the world; or am i determined, as Mary was, to die with Jesus in spirit at the foot of the Cross, praying for the willingness to enter into the “mysteries” of God?
